The Artist Statement

My work serves as a cultural symptom of our society and allegorically reflects the era of our overly complex information age.

In my pieces, both the fear and concern about the end times and the hope for redemption are expressed. This process is, for me, a form of escapism and a chronicling of an increasingly chaotic existence.

Through the autopoietic method, I develop, together with the artwork, a complex system that continues to live in the viewer. Often, my images contain dozens of additional images, driven by a love for detail. These works act like a concentrate of the world, a siren that lures the viewer through colors and shapes to reveal subversion and cruelty in the details.

As a chronicler of our time, I point out the dangers of civilizational decay and create visionary worlds that inspire further thought and reflection. My art addresses the conflicts of our time through horror vacui, stylistic breaks, nesting, and a mix of cruelty and humor.

From my history, one can learn the creative transformation of problems and the adventure of descending into the depths of the soul. How every detail can be the key to a world and the importance of not losing humor, no matter how dark the hour may be.
