Collector’s Item – The contemporary art collection of Pieter and Marieke Sanders
Peter Feiler is taking part with ‘Face of War’, 2014, belonging to the Pieter and Marieke Sanders collection of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam.

This exhibition celebrates the festive conveyance of more than 225 works from the Pieter and Marieke Sanders-ten Holte collection to the Dutch State. After the passing of Pieter Sanders in 2018, Marieke Sanders and her children, Albertine Zoetmulder-Sanders and Pieter Sanders, conveyed a large part of their private collection to the Dutch State in 2020. The works are spread over five national art museums: the Centraal Museum Utrecht, Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Teylers Museum and Kunstmuseum Den Haag. This exhibition has been put together in collaboration with the other museums to show a selection of the works from the collection in this context one more time.
